Hello Mike,

I have to say at first that this is going to be a lot of files but I hope
this helps and the HP9000

 ls -lR /* 2>/dev/null

Explained : ls = list files
                     -l = (ell) long list (details)
                     R  = recursively list subdirectories
                      /* = start from (root /) and * = all (but not hidden
files)
                     2>/dev/null = put standard error to a null bucket
(don't show on screen)

note: 2>/dev/null is not needed if you are root; this is not a perfect
example and the HP9000 forum would be great help in this.

Also there is a too [log in to unmask]
