I have to say at first that this is going to be a lot of files but I hope
this helps and the HP9000
ls -lR /* 2>/dev/null
Explained : ls = list files
-l = (ell) long list (details)
R = recursively list subdirectories
/* = start from (root /) and * = all (but not hidden
files)
2>/dev/null = put standard error to a null bucket
(don't show on screen)
note: 2>/dev/null is not needed if you are root; this is not a perfect
example and the HP9000 forum would be great help in this.
Also there is a too [log in to unmask]
