Sean asked a couple CM Transact questions:

If you are talking about continuing to use CM TRANCOMP,
there should not be any problems; latest CM version should
be fully backward compatible. If OTOH you are looking at
going to NM Transact/iX, then if you do any PROC calls you
will likely have to tweak the syntax in some cases. When
we migrated from CM Transact (actually from FASTRAN)
many years ago, as I recall it took an expert programmer
about one full day to bring all our PROC calls in line with
what NM Transact/iX needed....

No. CM TRANCOMP did not "lose" any capabilities along
the way..... but note that if you care about performance,
NM Transact/iX performance advantage over any version
of CM Transact can be anywhere from quite a bit to huge
(several 100 times faster in some cases). If for whatever
reason you cannot come up with the money to go to NM
Transact, you might want to look at CM FASTRAN from
Performance Software Group (PSG). Zero code changes
from interpreted CM Transact, and a major performance
improvement in most if not all cases (not as much as NM
Transact, but still leaves CM Transact in the dust). You
can find PSG contact info in the 3000 vendor list at
www.3K.com....
