Since this posting appeared twice with no responses, I guess I'll 
try to answer this poor, misguided soul.  One answer to your 
question is to call your local HP office and ask to buy the 
latest release of MPE/iX.  It will probably be expensive, and 
I'm sure that HP will want to know exactly how you came to have 
an HP 3000 box with no MPE/iX license.

Speaking of which, how *did* you come to have an HP 3000 computer 
without MPE/iX?

Another answer is to call whoever you bought it from and ask them 
for the MPE/iX license and media, assuming you got it from a 
reputable HP dealer/vendor.  I've never seen an HP 3000 computer 
from a "legitimate" source that did not include the FOS.
