Subject: [HP3000-L] Ot: OT: John Bonham Remembered
Today is the anniversary of the death of Led Zeppelin's drummer John Bonham
in 1980.
He died at the ripe old age of 32 after a night of partying and filling
himself
up with booze. I don't recall if drugs were involved in hastening his
demise.
I still consider him to be the Godfather of rock drumming. An unmitigated
loss indeed. No one -- and I mean no-one -- even came close to having his
skills as a drummer.
I hope he found that "Stairway To Heaven" a long time ago.
Brian.
