I believe this works with Netscape Navigator 3.x as well.
But it gets better...
Eudora Lite lets you access a web link without having to copy-and-paste
from your email reader to your browser. It's available from
<http://www.eudora.com/>
Mac users have a few more options:
An extension called ICeTEe allows a URL to be opened when clicked on
from within ANY application. It's bundled with (and requires)
Internet Config, freeware that lets you set up all your Internet
configuration info in a single place. You can get this from shareware.com,
or from the Internet Config home page:
<http://www.share.com/peterlewis/ic/internetconfig.html>
Further, Apple has released a set of free Internet Address Detectors
(as part of its more general Apple Data Detectors) to take a desired
action on selected datafrom within any application. For more info,
start at
<http://applescript.apple.com/data_detectors/>
then click on "Free Detectors" for info about the Internet detectors
(as well as those for phone numbers and city/state addresses).

That's the focus.
