Shawn Gordan just posted an article in the 3000Newswire on how to pass a
command to MPEX via the CREATEPROCESS and SENDMAIL intrinsic. I thought
this would be really a cool thing to do in DISCOVER/3000 (See this month's
3000Newswire review)
http://www.3000newswire.com/subscribers/InCobol-0007.html
When I run the DISCOVER/3000 program I do it as follows:
setvar runxl "disxl.pub.idsinc,qcompxl.pubnew.robelle,qcompxl.pub.robelle"
RUN DISCOVER.PUB.IDSINC;xl="!runxl";PARM=!P3
This allows me to automatically decompress the QEDIT type 111 files.
Unfortunately, when I enter an MPEX command I get an error:
¤%listf
ERROR: You have run the MAIN program file through the wrong
library: QCOMPXL.PUB.ROBELLE instead of NL.PUB.VESOFT.
[IDSINC.DATA]:abort
Program aborted per user request. (CIERR 989)
[IDSINC.DATA]:
I then have to do a break and abort the program. I've tried putting the
NL.PUB.VESOFT in the runxl variable before and after QCOMPXL and I've
changed the name of file-name from mpex.pub.vesoft to
mpex.pub.vesoft;xl=nl.pub.vesoft---but nothing works. I would really
appreciate any other suggestions on an otherwise wonderful Friday
afternoon. I'm not even talking gun control or freedom of religion of
Harry Potter or other really interesting topics.
