Hi folks,
Just checked my email and didn't see any postings from HPWORLD, so in
case you haven't heard, here are some tidbits.
(Please excuse if you have already heard this news)
1. Netscape Fastrack Server is being ported to MPE and will be made
available
for free on all 3k systems, including ssl support! Delivery is first qtr
of 98.
2. A new 918, called the 918DX, for software developers. Includes a bundle
of
all the compilers, some 3'rd party s/w and an 8-user license, 64mb, 4gb,
console,
dds tape. Price < 7000.
3. JAVA JIT compiler available now. Mike Yawn says up to 15 times the
performance
for most server type operations.
4. 100 mb lan cards (100 base-t, 100vg anylan).
