I have used Patch/iX to install powerpatch 50.05 on 3 systems and found its
ease of use was really good.  It is much simpler to use if your experience
of HP3000s is limited.
 
My only problem is that the Australian Response Centre is not yet creating
reactive patch tapes in the format needed by Patchix.  This may not be true
of other Response Centres.  To check if any reactive patch tape will work
under Patch/IX, use VSTORE to ensure that the patch files are stored in the
Patchxl group of the Telesup account.
