I had an '84 Jetta that ran flawlessly for 286,000 miles and then, much like
the Deacon's Masterpiece, succumbed rapidly to massive multiple systems
failure.

Hi Ray :)
Um... My Mom-In-Law owns either a Jetta or a Passat (sp) and over all
seems happy with it but there have been some definite "small issues" that
my Sis-In-Law helped her deal with the dealer with...

I owned a '77 Rabbit back in College... hmmm... clocked at over 110+ mph
one night... cop let me go with a very very stern warning :) fun car for
the handling... but I did find VW's to be good cars..

Thanks,
Art

Hi all,

Just thought I'd see if anyone has any info on the quality
issue for a 2003 (manual tranny) Jetta. The NET has reviews from best
car in the world to piece of crap (as is the case with all car reviews).
Anyway, it appeared the bad reviews out weighed the good reviews, and I
can recall a time when a VW was a really good car?

As always, I just know that I can get some totally unbiased
reviews from the list. 8-)

Sorry for the OT post, and TIA for any help.

 Regards,
