Noam, we have used Newport Digital, and it has been fine. Just be aware of
the additional aggravation factor in using 3rd party memory. If you have a
system failure and it points back to memory, HP will require you to
de-install the 3rd party memory and duplicate the error with HP-only memory.

This is a particularly galling fact of life with the HP3000 that I hope will
change in the future.

Subject: Cost of Memory

Hi,

I have a development machine with 128MB ram. Its performance are little poor
so that I want to upgrade it to 256MB.
I have the questions:
1. According to your experience, does this upgrade enough?
2. I got an unofficial quote from HP vendor that it costs apx $5000(!)
(three zeros). Is this the price?
3. Are there any 3-rd party vendors for memory?

TIA,
Noam
