I was led to believe that the gcc/g++ port to the HP3000 would not work
without the run time libraries shipped with the HP C Developer's Kit.
Is this belief unfounded? I understand that the missing libraries are
susposed to be bundled with MPE/iX 5.5. Is this correct?

If both of these suppositions on my part are true then I haven't turned
my back on gcc/g++, I am simply waiting until I can "FREELY" make use of
them on the HP3000.

If I am in error, I truely would appreciate being given the specifics on
what is necessary to get the GNU gcc compilier to work on an HP3000.

Regards,
