When suppressing output from the system (or subsystems) it helps to know
what the output file these messages are going to. Or maybe not. One way to
supress these messages if this is a command file (not a UDC) is to XEQ the
command file and suppres all output XEQ commandfilename >$NULL This will
work most of the time and if you set a file equation like FILE
TERM;DEV=!HPLDEVLIST, you can selectively echo information back to the
user. (ie ECHO !CIERROR >*TERM)
Also, if al else fails, running another CI shell with your I/O redirected
(RUN CI.PUB.SYS;PARM=3;STDOUT=$NULL) will work, but you will have a END OF
PROGRAM message when it terminates.
