Wirt, et. al.,
I was very impressed with QCTERM at Wirt's presentation. Wirt's version of
"2001 in 90 seconds" was fabu! I was also impressed with "Advanced Telnet".
Having seemingly immediate response via telnet from a system literally on the
other side of the world was VERY cool!
I'm behind the times on this subject, but does a mechanism exist to allow
encrypted passwords over telnet such that logging on to an HP3000 over telnet
wouldn't be done in clear text? I'm hoping for a "Secure Advanced Telnet"
option.
As much as I'd love to have a 9xx in my basement, I'm much more likely to
convince my employer to make it accessible via the internet providing is
relatively secure to allow some form of telnet access. Any clues?
Ps. Who won the HP3000 from Phoenix3000?
