We have also had the same problem - set up the config file to
use pcllp.hpenv.sys and print any job's $stdlist to the printer
(Laserjet 5SI). The job logon guff comes out fine (lineprinter font
and landscape). After the Security/3000 logon comments, it seems to
be resetting to the default printer settings. I looked at a hex dump
of the spoolfile and it seems likely that the culprit is a character
in column 1 with a value of 81 (hex), 129 (decimal). I don't know if
that's it, nor what it does, and I haven't had time to go back to
trying to solve it. For now, the serially connected line printer
will have to do :-(
