I just came across a "votethehpway" banner that got me to thinking of a
humorous take on it (and possibly more accurate? time will tell...)
the ad is split into two halves: on the left, it is only black&white and has
the caption "today:". On the right is an idyllic scene, blue background,
rubber-stamped cloud images drifting across the page, and the caption
"tomorrow:".
Then in from the left scrolls the phrase "hp is #xxx in <something>"; as it
scrolls to the right it changes to "hp + compaq is #1 in <something>"
What I noticed (and this leads to the funny thought) is that Compaq's
current position is NOT noted in the "today" box, if so, it might end up
looking like this:
hp is #5 in enterprise storage
compaq is #6 in enterprise storage
[transitions to] ==> hp + compaq is #11 in enterprise storage
(simple math... ;)
