Did you recently add another remote site? My old company added a new
parent company and ftp went to the crapper. What was happening is that
the backbone traffic was going from Atlanta to North Carolina to New
Jersey and back to Atlanta and vice versa, generating a huge number of
collisions and general signal bolloxing.
