Size of CI array space

Out of curiosity, is there a maximum space that is allotted to
the CI for variable storage?  Can I have 10,000 variables?
 
Of course, this applies soley to MPE/iX.  If variables were
implemented under MPE/V, I'm sure that it would be 32k.
