Well, another "no thanks to HPQ' response center" but there is a very bright
side to this story.

It seems that I have been working lots of weekends lately at different HP3000
sites. This weekend like last weekend is no exception.
I want to first thank Rene Wok for his exceptional service to the HP community.
Rene has been busy with me for two weekends and he first has a very calming
effect. I can bring any Image issue to him and he has the answers as a matter
of fact during the initial conversation.

In the time Rene sent the following e-mail and the time it took to download
the patches we were back in business in less than three hours..

and now for the rest of the story... We placed a call to HPQ.. got a call ID
waited for 2 1/2 hrs for a call back to then be told we will have another
engineer call us back shortly which was an additional 2 1/2 hrs...
By the time we got the call back we were already up and running and repacking
data.

Oh and the engineer was not the most knowledgeable apple in the cart but did
finally agree with Rene's fix... Please read below...

Another thanks to Jeff Vance who I think maintains the website for Jazz..

This time was an integer overflow error when attempting to run ADAGER and
repack datasets. The problem was not an ADAGER tool problem it was an issue
with 6.5 pp3.

How to detect the problem:

Hewlett-Packard's response center has the problem documented under
> SR: 8606232211 (KBRC00007442). The patch that we have noticed to

Problem description says:
> ------------------------
>
> SL.PUB.SYS OCT retranslator - Due to a bug in the MPE patch process,
