Either your 3000 isn't on the net :-) or you don't have
the resolver set up to do DNS. /etc/resolv.conf should
point to a nameserver as in:
domain bookware3000.ca
nameserver 192.168.1.1
Of course, substitute a valid nameserver for the 192.168.1.1.

Probably permissions. See if you already have a .cvspass file
and whether or not you have write access to it. If not, what
version of cvs (cvs --version) are you running?
