Hello Friends:

Alfredo asked me about our new podcasts:

>Now, how do I configure iTunes to automatically subscribe to your
>Podcasts so that iTunes will download them as I sleep (or go
>out on my bike for some exercise)?
>
>I might as well disintermediate the web-browser step ;-)

We've just educated the iTunes Music Store to know where the
NewsWire's podcasts live. (iTunes, which runs on Windows as well as
Macs, is a wonderful way to subscribe to and discover podcasts.) Just
go to the ITunes Podcast directory and type "3000 NewsWire" into the
search window. It will call us up, complete with our new logo, and
give you a chance to subscribe to our podcasts.

(Thanks so much to Glenn Cole [[log in to unmask]] for the XML help in
this. I recommend his services highly!)

So far, all our podcasts have been less than 6 minutes. There's a new
one posted now, all about the HP 3000 networking luncheon next
weekend, to be held south of San Francisco and sponsored by Marxmeier
Software and Screenjet. We'll have a proper e-mail notice on the
gathering, to be held three or four days before the OpenMPE meeting,
sent out tomorrow through our Online Extra e-mail broadcast. For now,
there's more details at our blog page:
