It's been a while since I used NS.

- How does HPINTERACTIVE get set with remote session?
- How about the LDEV, do you have a range set for the remote sessions?
- What about the HPSTDIN and HPVT variables?

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] Am I running in batch? (How to tell?)

I know this question has been asked many times before. I don't
recall if a final answer was ever discovered. (I will be watching
this thread for a final answer.)

But will this help...

LOCAL -
:showvar hplocport
HPLOCPORT = 1570

REMOTE -
:remote
#showvar hplocport
HPLOCPORT = 1537

So while we can tell if we are a DSLINE session by port 1537, I think
the ultimate question is how you can tell if the local orignator was
a session or a job.
