[log in to unmask][log in to unmask], 8 Dec 2000 14:54:31 -0500368_iso-8859-1 I know, I know, this system is really old!

But, I'm trying to resurrect this system for some testing. According to the
SYSGEN>IO>LDEV it has six disk drives on it, as per this map:

Ldev 1 = 4.1.0 (2203)
Ldev 2 = 4.1.1 (2203)
Ldev 3 = 4.5.2 (2203)
Ldev 4 = 4.1.2 (2203)
Ldev 5 = 4.1.4 (7937)
Ldev 11 = 4.1.5 (7937) [...]48_8Dec200014:54:[log in to unmask]

I have used the Serv-U FTP software and I have sent a note to Wirt thanking
him for posting it on the list. We use it to gather addresses from a
ASK/CA/OMAR/MANMAN system and load an MS Access database as an interface for
United Parcel Service. The FTP command look like this:

put UPSADDR upsaddr.txt
quote site exec c:\winnt40\system32\cmd.exe /c d:\upsdata\UpdateUPS.lnk

The .lnk file is a desktop shortcut that starts Access with a command line
option to run a macro. (The last step of the Macro exits Access)

I have had another thought, but I have not tried it yet. I wondered if
after one sent a file from the e3K to an NT server (or workstation, or
whatever) one then sends an HTTP request using wget (see
http://www.editcorp.com/personal/lars_appel/wget/) and in the URL call a CGI
process that performs the necessary processing.
