While I appreciate your effort, the presented solution is *not* acceptable.
It will not work on a 5.0 system due to the 'word(..)' function and frankly
I was hoping for something with a *lot* less overhead.

Hi All,
 
One of the MPE Tech. Roundtable questions is a request for FLABELINFO,
FFILEINFO and FINFO to return the accurate number of sectors occupied
by a file.  I have written a command file to do this.  Yes it is not a
complete solution, but it is a start.  The command file (NUMSECTS) is
available now on jazz (under the shareware/sources direcory).
