I'm having trouble getting a laser printer to do what I tell it to do.
if we test with a BRW report - we can send this escape sequence to the
printer
ESCAPE &l0Ol0e2kS
and get a report to printer in portrait, condensed print, starting very
close to the very top of the paper.
so I try to put that same sequence into my COBOL program.
I move that escape sequence to the print-line and
write print-line after advancing 0 lines.
I get portrait and no top margin, but it's not in condensed print.
if I send
ESCAPE &k2sl0el0O
or
ESCAPE &k2sl0ol0E
I get condensed print, but landscape mode.
if I send
ESCAPE&10e10OESCAPE&2kS
Then I get portrait, condensed print, but it's not as close to the top
of the page as the original setting (where I don't get condensed print).
What am I doing wrong?
