This is correct. However, the third party supporting our LPQ 1200 told us
they would not support the printer beyond its HP imposed end-of-support date
because they don't maintain a stock of replacement parts themselves. They
order all parts as needed from HP and HP would no longer guarantee
availability of those parts.

Actually you have been with 3rd. party support for sometime.  HP has farmed
out line printer service to 3rd. parties for a couple of years at least.
You got to pay HP prices for 3rd. party fulfillment.

Contact the 3rd. party support company assigned to you by HP about
contracting with them directly or for T/M support options.
