Ray,

My brother-in-law, who is Scottish, introduced to Laphroaig about 15
years ago.

In your lager comparison if you replaced Samuel Adams with Budweiser
Budvar (from the Czech Republic) then I would have to agree.

Problem is that Budvar, like Laphroaig, is not legally available in the
States therefore most of you on the 'western side of the pond' will not
be able to make the comparison.
