This "port" refers, I believe, to MPE's Kernel "ports" messaging system and
probably won't reveal anything interesting about where the duplicate IP
address occurred.  In this context "port" means nothing in terms of
networking.

There might be more information in the NMLG####.PUB.SYS log files which you
can look at with NMDUMP.

NETTOOL.NET.SYS would probably let you look at the ARP cache which might
contain an entry for the offending machine.
