Randy
I has been a while since I have used Spoolmate but this is
what my memory is serving up. The news file is not what you
want, it is just a record of what has occured. There is a
database associated with Spoolmate that has the devices, the
name of the database is something I cannot remember. I would make
a copy of the database as it currently stands, then check the
structure with Query or Suprtool to determine the set you are
looking for, most probably a detail set. Extract it and sort it,
then erase the set and add the sorted file back. I believe this
should do the trick.
Again, it has been a while since I have used the product, so
please investigate prior to acting.
Good Luck
Bob Schlosser

Subject: [HP3000-L] Spoolmate issue
Does anyone have a layout of the SPOOLMATE News file? We currently have
over 300 some printers defined and not being able to get them listed in
a sorted order is getting to be a pain.
I've been told if we exported and sorted and added back into the news
file. That would correct my issue. I just need a layout or has anyone
already taken care of the issue.
I've asked ROC to do this or give me a layout. But no real response
expect that it is on the list.
