A few months ago I needed to get 7.01 installed on a 928 quickly, and I had
a running N series with this already going. With nothing much to lose, I
made a sysgen tape on the N, and UPDATEd it onto the 928. Everything worked
fine, no problems at all. Subsequently, for practice, I updated 7.5 onto
this 928, and again had no problems.
Now, does anybody have any comments on the proposition that I could take a
sysgen tape (with [log in to unmask]@.sys etc) from the 928, and UPDATE it onto the N
series successfully?

Also, in the 75. Read Me Before Installing, there is a note that using NMMGR
'Guided Config' path for the NI will reset the link config back to defaults,
without telling the user. Has anybody seen this, and is it something that
will happen forever, anytime it is used, or first time only, or what? Is
there a fix for this?

tia as usual,
John Pitman
