I am currently running my 987 on 5.5, powerpatch 6.

Following a recent drive failure, I had problems with my restore from my DLT. It was diagnosed a problem with the 'fast find' in RESTORE. I was shipped power patch 7, which includes the patch to fix that problem. (I should note that this happened only on a specific tape, which unfortunately was the tape for the reload, but Murphy is always watching.)

Any caveats on powerpatch 7? I have been fairly stable on 6. I will be checking out the documentation that comes with the tape, but any enlightenments from those who have gone before me?
