Conrad,  did I miss something, this is the HP3000L list.   :-)

Powerhouse in its time was a great product, however in my own PERSONAL
opinion, Cognos left the HP e3000 users hanging with infrequent updates
all too often. Now with the e3000 becoming much easier to interface with
ISQL, JDBC, ODBC, newer web tools, the value of Powerhouse is greatly
diminished.  There are now many combination of open system software, PC
client/server as alternatives to the Powerhouse products.

Powerhouse, like the Concorde, unfortunately is priced beyond the reach
of many potential customers.  The price structure does have one very
positive effect... it  encourages potential customers to investigate
alternatives.  Perhaps in the future the price model used for Powerhouse
will be changed to make it more attractive.
