Okay, I stopped predictive and nothing changed.

Perhaps the full story is needed here....

The reason we are going to reboot this weekend is to clear some "hung" ports
(actually two, one of which is Ldev 21). The reason they are "hung" is that
we were trying to install Telamon's async engine (and failed miserably!). I
figured, what the hey, I'll use Ldev 21 since it already has a modem on it.
Well, I can't open the port using the NETWORK program from Telamon, and the
result is that the port is now not responding. Undaunted by this failure, I
configured a DTC port as a modem port and attempted to connect to it using
the async engine. It also failed, which is why I have the second port
"hung". I figured, that's not a problem, I'll just run TERMDSM from SYSDIAG
and reset the port/card/DTC (there is nothing else attached to this DTC).
Unfortunately, since I can't run SYSDIAG, I can't reset anything. Now, I'm
afraid of trying another port until I can get SYSDIAG back online so I can
reset ports without resorting to a reboot.
