Thank you for your response, I did not make that decision(just a consultant).

The aammdd solution is not as bad as you think, consider the conversion
from and to AAMMDD format: Notice "A" - "0" = 17 , then if you add or
subtract 17 from your input field then the conversion is complete.

The new intrinsic "HPDATECONVERT" can do all sort of changes for you.

Lets go back to the original question :

Any Ideas of how to use maestro?
One solution is to replace date calculations with parameters , but that means
all jobs will depend on a master job to do the calculation for them.

Unison , the company that wrote maestro is bought by IBM and it is not likely
that they make a change to their product easily.
