I started this thread and feel somewhat responsible for
its content.  I quoted someone (Joe Geiser) from his
Sunday seminar, who has experience using both both
plain CGI scripting with Apache/iX and Cold Fusion.

I think he was well qualified to make the statement
based on experience.
