As I suspect is the case with most lists, the number of people who post is
but a fraction of the total number of list members. Those who don't post
probably fall into one (or more) of four categories:
1) The ones who don't have any experience with the subject being discussed
2) The ones who don't have time to post
3) The ones who are too shy to post
4) The ones who, by the time they get their reply typed up, discover that
Wirt has not only answered the question, but somehow tied it in with
quark-hadron phase transitions and the disappearance of the Anasazi ;)
