I'm posting on behalf of someone that doesn't have access to the NG so I'll
do my best to get any further info if it's needed. He has a corrupted file
(YINPUT.BACKG.VESOFT) which is giving the error 'BAD VARIABLE BLOCK
STRUCTURE  (FSERR 105)', this file can't be purged & FSCHECK gives '*Error:
File to be purged is being accessed by other users. (fscheck 19)'.

VESOFT's BACKG cannot be stopped because of this file, an MPE ABORTJOB
doesn't work & even after several cold-boot's the job returns with the same
job number, hogging resources; so we have a circular problem, can't stop
BACKG because of corrupted file, can delete the file because BACKG is using
it! Is there any other way to stop BACKG?

HP918, mpe 6.5, express 7.
