With all due respect to my friend and SIEC colleague Gary,
while in some ways it is temping to mention Boston because
of the contrast between then and now, I would propose that
letting the memory of that now most-of-a-decade-ago tea party
die a quiet and forgotten death is probably the best policy....
:-)

While I'm at it let me take shot at Charles' question:

Good suggestion by Charles; absolutely.

> Does anyone have any great ideas?

... well, a giant-sized poster plugging the 3000 might be a great
idea.... oops... Wirt and Adager already did that in 1996... ;-)

hmmm...: how about: a slightly smaller-scale 3000 poster of
some kind;  say, four to nine times single-sheet poster size;
suitable for hanging somewhere in the hallowed halls of CSY
(maybe in the famous "MPE Lunch Facility" ??). We then get
HP 3000 users who "kick butt" with their 3000's who wander by
at HP World to sign it, and present end product to Harry & Co.
before the end of the conference.

... be careful when you ask for ideas.... you never know what
might come out of the wood-work..

oh, yeah: The T-shirt idea is always a good one too. Think I
like the "Renaissance 3000" suggestion best so far.. something
incorporating "Millennium Run" or "Running for the Next Millennium"
doesn't sound too bad either...
