Nor was he protected by the First Amendment.

While your analogy was an interesting attempt to compare apples to oranges, nobody has suggested giving any religion supremacy over the laws of the land.

Now for many on the far left socialism is a religion, and as history has repeatedly shown, that type of government fits your analogy quite nicely.
