The following link is an interesting Native American perspective on the
history and celebration of Thanksgiving.  I have preferred to teach my
children that Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to celebrate and give
thanks for the harvest, which for most early Americans was their living.  It
is for us an opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for all that we are
blest with, most importantly our family.
