Awww...and we were having so much fun. ;-)
I'm a little disappointed that the last one on Denys' email wasn't included
on the web page you posted. I wanted to see what they had to say about
that one!
However, it's interesting that when we were doing the "Shakespeare tour"
in Stratford upon Avon, one of the tours in the houses gave very similar
origins of "chairman" and "board." Granted, some tour guide in a historic
home isn't exactly authoritative...
