I'm almost afraid to post this after seeing the firestorm unleashed
after the first post on this subject! :-)

But I just thought that in the interest of fairness I would post the
results of my discussion with Minisoft technical support.

(1) Using QEdit to text in a 256-byte text file works okay with
Reflection, but not with MS92: Minisoft agrees that QEdit must
be sending some escape sequence that asks the termulator what size
of a screen display it can handle. They are working with Robelle
to get this fixed.

(2) The "Caps Lock" issue: Minisoft feels that Reflection is acting
in a non-standard-Windows manner by maintaining a "local" caps lock
attribute. And you know what? Minisoft is correct. Try opening Word
and setting Caps Lock on, then open Excel and see what the Caps Lock
setting is (it'll be on), then turn Caps Lock off and go back to Word,
and the Caps Lock will be off in Word as well.

So there you have it: One genuine bug and one Windows "feature".

FWIW
