<< We have a 2564B which we have always used to print Id cards. Now things
are
moving around and we will need to start printing Id Cards on our LPQ800.
Apparently, the Amisys ID Card spool file has escape codes in it which set
the
printer to do a page eject at 11" even though the Id Cards are only 3.5in in
length. This does not seem to cause any difficulty with the 2564B but it
does
seem to cause difficulty with the LPQ800. The LPQ800 is skipping a few
lines
every 11 inches. Whenever this happens the ID cards are no longer lined up.
We
have tried everything we could think of to get it to print correctly but have
had no success. (translation: yes, the page length on the printer is set to
3.5" but the escape codes seem to over ride this).
If any one has any ideas or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Barry,
this looks to me if PERFORATION SKIP is enabled for the printer. I don't have
access to a LPQ800 but you can possibly disable this permanent in the printer
or with ESC&l0L (0=Zero).
Hope that helps
