Interesting.
I use the Thunderbird client on my PC as well.
Never had a problem with this list server.
Then again, when I initially subscribed many years ago, I believe the client I used at that time was Eudora - which I stopped using after it stopped working consistently and no one appeared to be supporting it anymore.
I wonder what would happen if I had to re-subscribe now using Thunderbird.
Probably no big deal - if I had the same problem as you did, I could presumably always do it from my iPhone email client.
