I'm not responding to the FTP question, so much as the Welcome Message
issue. While I don't know what a "welcome" message on Brian's system
might say, we've been advised here not to include the word "welcome" or
any other word that could be construed as "welcoming" anyone onto our
system due to a court case regarding hacking that was thrown out.
Apparently, the site that was hacked had a "welcome" message, so the
court said since they "welcomed" the hacker onto their system, they
could not seek damages for the mischief he caused. A word to the wise....
