It is so sad to hear of his passing. Jack was a great guy who would always help no matter the problem, time or distance. I met Jack back in the late 70's when we were installing our 3000. He was one of the SE's assigned to our account. Back in those days the SE's had unlimited expense accounts (or so it seemed) and Jack liked to use them. Many nice lunches and dinners with plenty of adult beverages.
Over the years as I moved on to different companies Jack was always there to help. He did consulting work for us when I worked for a small semiconductor company in Newark DE. He wrote the exotic interfaces we needed. Just a few years ago he helped me when I was consulting for Dow chemical and helped me with my in-home HP-3000.
Great guy and will be missed by many.
