For anyone interested -
There's a Z39.50 search module available for the Apache server. It's
available at http://igsrnt1.er.usgs.gov/apche/mod_search.html. As
far as I know, noone has attempted an HP3000 Posix port of the
module. However, Mark Bixby has done a curory review and says that
it might possibly compile as is. YAK is also required and is
available via a link from the same URL. Likewise, Mark has indicated
that YAK should compile cleanly.
If you would like to see how Z39.50 access to library catalogs works,
take a look at http://library.usask.ca/hywebcat. This location is a
collection of links to Z39.50 Web gateways.
