     >b) How many telnet connections can I have per telnet access card?

According to the Technical Data sheet, a TAC in a DTC48 will handle
between 10(character mode, medium usage) active users and 40(VPLUS)
active users. A TAC in a DTC72MX will handle between 25 and 80,
     respectively.

     >c) What versions of MPE will permit me to connect to the HP3000 via
     >the telnet access card?

At least as far back as 4.0 but, more importantly, please remember
that the use of a TAC requires OpenView DTC Manager on the PC, i.e.
there is no hostbased configuration of TACs. I believe the first
version of DTCMGR to support a TAC was either 10.5 or 12.1. Older
DTC48s(serial number prior to 3110) need a memory upgrade to use the
     TAC.
