You could get and use VESoft's MPEX. It has greatly enhanced LISTF
commands. I use LISTF @.OUT.HPSPOOL,SPOOL. You can also write your own
LISTF to do this. For one Job file you could say:

%ECHO ![STRWRITE(FMTDATE(VEJOBINFO("#Jnnn").INTRODATE))]
