Yes, but there was a superseder for 2.2.8 that included a few 2.2.12 components:

  SMBMXR5A - C.65.00 - "Samba 2.2.8a fixes for CAN-2004-0815"
  SMBMXR5B - C.70.00 - "Samba 2.2.8a fixes for CAN-2004-0815"
  SMBMXR5C - C.75.00 - "Samba 2.2.8a fixes for CAN-2004-0815"

(I am surprised that I was able to find the patch "readme" at hp.com/go/hpsc)

Maybe someone on the list has SMBMXR5 installed and Windows 7 clients?
