Hi Ernie,
172.26.x.x looks routable while 010.x.x.x is not and you're showing 2
hops.
You may need to do some Network Address Translation between your 3000
and the printer.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Printer woes
Greetings,
One of our school districts decided this weekend to change their IP
addresses, (which is why we love them), and now none of their printers
work.
They all worked before this change.
Device 58 was changed from 172.26.240.229 and is now 010.239.240.229.
NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS now has the new IP address and NMMGR is configured like
this...
IP NETWORK ADDRESS IP MASK HOPS
A 010.224.000.000 255.240.000.000 2
When I try to print to device 58, the spooling process stops and this
displays on the console...
****************************

recovery. Any interrupted document will be entirely reprinted.

A TCP dump shows no traffic from the HP3000 to any of the printer IP
addresses.
All users are accessing the HP3000 on the same subnet, using port 1570,
with no problems.
The printer is correctly configured.
These printers are using port 9100.
We are on a 939, with 6.5 PP3.
The other printers don't show this error, they just simply say
CONNECTING when doing a SPOOLERxx;SHOW
Any ideas will be appreciated because I am stumped...
Thanks,
Ernie
